Geez, what else is Russia responsible for?

I'm still in shock that Russia has an English-speaking website. I've got 2 years worth of data on massive sites that have taken in 80,000+ people per worldwide, and like 48 grand total are from Russia... I just assumed sanctions and censorship made the intarweb useless there. I mean, per capita and per square mile, Egypt has them beat by a factor of 100. Russia's "apples to apples" traffic comparisons put them on par with Vietnam, and half as strong as Korea.

I really think the motherland would get a much squarer shake in the rest of the world's media if they weren't so xenophobic. Seems to me like a situation where the country's leadership makes a bad name for the rest of them. Kinda like the US during the Bush years.

Russia doesn't visit sites from outside of Russia, like, at all. Using egodriven as an example, we're talking barely 20 people a year on a site that gets hundreds of people in per country from countries that hardly speak English at all. And that's not just my site, I have similar data for an assload of sites.

Which has pretty much led me to believe that Russia's internet access is at the very least damn near completely excluding English speaking sites. So I was genuinely shocked to see you post a website that's all about Russia, in English.

You peaked my interest, basically.
