I haven't posted here in the better part of a year, but I want y'all to know that I wub j00.
I miss Jailbreak, too. It's still an amazing gametype as far as I'm concerned, and I'm looking forward to one day seeing it in action again. Perhaps some PS4 or Xbox 3 FPS will launch with a Jailbreak multiplayer mode and we can say to the GameStop-shopping masses "LOL, I already logged hundreds of hours into this u newbz."

well.... after having a job I loved for almost 10 years, that went away with the economy, now I have crap pay at a job I hate, but at least I'm clothed and fed. Still job hunting tho.
Kinda sorta switched to console gaming (xbox) for sake of convience, and lack of seemingly good games/support for the pc's. (xbl: WEREWOLF RAGS)
Went on a hunt for some of the old community, and eventually found these forums, lurked for a bit, but hey, needed to say hi to everyone.
Miss those old q2jb/q3jb:pow days.
Closest thing I've come to duplicatng the fun of those days is L4D, and L4D2... but it's still not the same.

Granted, the player movement, weapons, and game physics are all pretty horrible, but the complexity of the game, with vehicles, boats, planes, tanks and helicopters, makes up for it.... kind of. You still in Minnesota? |

Haha, I just remembered.... About 2 years ago I tried to dig through a bunch of old Q2 demos to try to find some good Q2JB gameplay to watch. I only found clan match play sadly, although I specifically remember recording public games a few of those last few months where Sweats or Spacemonsters would still fill up once a week.
But what I did find was a series of short demos I recorded when you and I and maybe Neo were beta-testing one of your maps which I think never was released. Somehow I still had the map and the demo, and it was actually pretty hilarious. We were just running around, I think you hosted the server out of your home/apartment and it's just us testing various jumps, like "can a rocket jump make it from here to there" and such. Anyways, I found it oddly watchable.

I still have some minor regret about not finishing/releasing a few of the maps I had worked on.
I still live in the western twin cities metro, so yea, still in MN.
I've thought about picking up that newest BF game, but I haven't been playing much lately.
