Is there any dedicated server running somewhere right now ?
Because i can't find any.
And the ones from the official POW website are all down, so somebody should remove that or something.

greetings,

It's gotta suck to be so late to the party that the party is over by the time you get there!

Q4POW is coming, KooF. Don't worry.

Quake4 just does not feel nice, it's not as fast as q3 feels to me.
And it's not my pc, thats alright; 3ghz p4, 2gb ram, geforce 6800 gt.

Is the party really over ? Smiley
i mean 2.0 is out since summer this year Smiley

There are people still willing to play. Heck, I wouldn't mind a round or two.

Getting better at Q4 is a focus for most of the folks still Quaking in this community, though.

Sometimes, if you get onto irc.enterthegame.com #jbpow and shout loud enough you can get a game going =)

POW shouldn't need better hardware then a regular Quake 3 server to host games. What's the spec's for the machine you are running it on?

P3 / 500 mhz / 128 ram
And that was always good for Q3

That should be enough for 10 players as long as your not running any other server. I've ran the quake3 server on a old Pentium 2 and it was fine.
